Maternity sessions are some of my favorites and it was an absolute pleasure meeting Josh and Vanessa on the beach for a sunset session. Their infectious energy and love for one another really was a treat to watch and document. We ended up at sunset cliffs which created the perfect backdrop for these two to cuddle behind the sunset <333333
Jennifer looks absolutely stunning in the Coronado glow. I do not always make it out to Coronado and this sunset made me want to go more often! Sometimes this beach can be a challenge in the summer time as it can get quite busy, but this evening wasn’t overwhelming. Maternity sessions are definitely some of my favorite images to shoot, they mean new beginnings, new chapters and new adventures. I love being apart of every minute of it <3
I am so in love with the colors from this Solana beach maternity session. Melissa is a natural in front of the camera although, if you met her she might tell you a different story. While I agree it is completely unnatural to have a camera pointed at you, there is definitely a way to do it with comfort. Melissa has had her baby since these photo’s but I really had to share this special session, it’s classic & hopefully inspiring to all your future mama’s to be <3
This maternity session was originally planned to be held at the Carlsbad flower fields but considering they have not bloomed yet, we needed to make a quick location change. Enter the beach! This happens to be a shoot for two of my very good friends, and while I would have loved seeing her frolic in the flowers, I think they both looked fantastic on the beach as well. She is due any day now, having a baby girl & I can’t wait to meet baby Zeelyn!
I must say the more and more I do maternity photography sessions here in San Diego, the more I fall in love with the entire process. There is something so deeply pure about a pregnancy and women are just beautiful. This is Nele, and believe it or not this was her very first photo shoot (ever!) She’s a total natural and ready for baby!!
This was the last photo shoot I had in 2013, literally December 31st, new years eve at La Jolla shores and scripps pier. Let me tell you… It . Was. Epic! When I first got there it was your typical sunny day and by the end of the shoot this beautiful fog came out over the ocean and swept us all away. It was so dreamy and such a beautiful setting for these two, so in love and ready for baby for any day now. Infectious energy that comes with hanging out with these guys, it was an amazing way to end 2013!
Santee Lakes is the perfect spot for a maternity session. Tranquility and peace. The camera loves these two, and you know, I must say their energy is so warm and infectious you would love them too. I loved Krista’s smile, and Aj’s dedication to her! They are so sweet to one another and so perfect together. Baby is due in January, and they couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome a new life to the world. Me too! Congratulations to you Krista & Aj on this new venture in your lives <3
Due any day now, Michelle and Brian are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their new baby boy and I can’t wait to meet him after getting to know these two a bit more! Basking in the warm afternoon sunlight, these two just naturally fell in love with the beauty of mission trails. Who can blame ’em, that natural glow looks good on them!
Thursday was the big day! I would say Casey and Eric had everyone on the seat of their pants by being so secretive about the big reveal and just how they were going to announce their special news. Guess what?! It’s a girl!!! Thanks guys for letting me be a part of this, many many congratulations as I know this means so much to you both. Much much love and positivity <3
