Balboa Park was the location of choice for Stacey and Chris, although Stacey mentioned to me it was Chris’s first time at Balboa. I had a chance to show them around and tell them some fun facts about the park while they shared their love story with me. Engaged and ready for the next chapter in their lives, congrats you two <3333
This maternity session was originally planned to be held at the Carlsbad flower fields but considering they have not bloomed yet, we needed to make a quick location change. Enter the beach! This happens to be a shoot for two of my very good friends, and while I would have loved seeing her frolic in the flowers, I think they both looked fantastic on the beach as well. She is due any day now, having a baby girl & I can’t wait to meet baby Zeelyn!
La Jolla was this couple’s choice of location, although the beach was not necessarily part of that vision. We originally planned to do this engagement session at Salk Institute (architecturally stunning) but before we could get started Devesh was chased out by security guards. Sad panda!! We made lemonade out of lemons and moved the session up the street to La Jolla coves for a few sensual romantic shots. These two are not just beautiful, but they are both incredibly nice and genuine people. Stay tuned for pictures from their wedding day <3
Tidelands Park in Coronado is such a beautiful place to stop and enjoy the sights of the city. You have the downtown city skyline to gaze upon, the Coronado bridge over the water and so many little hidden treasures. Take a romantic stroll with Christina and Kevin as they re-discover Coronado (as they do not live in San Diego) This particular photography shoot almost feels like it came straight from the 1940’s, I love that vintage look and these two look amazing together all dressed to impress.
Engaged to be married in October of this year, it was only fitting to have Jennifer and Victor’s engagement in La Jolla since that is where they will be getting married. Jennifer picked out scripps pier and La Jolla Shores for this beach engagement session. The sky was gorgeous and so is the love these two share for each other. Victor used their dog Hank to help with the proposal, which I just adore. After looking at this session, I bet you will all fall for them too!
This was the last photo shoot I had in 2013, literally December 31st, new years eve at La Jolla shores and scripps pier. Let me tell you… It . Was. Epic! When I first got there it was your typical sunny day and by the end of the shoot this beautiful fog came out over the ocean and swept us all away. It was so dreamy and such a beautiful setting for these two, so in love and ready for baby for any day now. Infectious energy that comes with hanging out with these guys, it was an amazing way to end 2013!
Sunset Cliffs is seriously as dreamy as it sounds if you’ve never been (but of course you have!) Sonja and Brandon are engaged to be married on July 4, 2014. Sweet, bubbly, and easy going these two were lucky to find each other and, I was even luckier to be one of their first professional photographic experiences. Sonja & Brandon, you two make one awesome couple and I can’t wait til the wedding!!
Coronado is a photographer’s playground, I simply could not wait to post these pictures any longer! I got to meet Kristen and Shane, childhood friends turned lovers many years later, their story is nothing but sweet. This location by the Coronado bridge and San Diego skyline was completely their idea and I loved it so much that I cannot wait to go back! Hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving filled with love, family, friends and good spirits!
The passion and vows these two shared with one another was nothing short of breathtaking! These two, from Arizona, came back to the spot where Morgan had originally proposed to his sweetheart Erica. Not a bad spot to pick if I may say so. I love this area of San Diego, there is something so unique about The hotel del Coronado. Simple, powerful and emotional, it was a gorgeous evening filled with overflowing love!
Due any day now, Michelle and Brian are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their new baby boy and I can’t wait to meet him after getting to know these two a bit more! Basking in the warm afternoon sunlight, these two just naturally fell in love with the beauty of mission trails. Who can blame ’em, that natural glow looks good on them!
